Some West Brom fans have been excitedly anticipating Grady Diangana’s return from injury on social media, with some fans sharing their view that the 21-year-old could return to action soon.
Diangana has been dealing with a persistent hamstring injury since December when the attacker was forced off the pitch after 40 minutes in the Baggies’ 3-2 Championship win over Birmingham City.
Diangana, who joined West Brom on loan from Premier League West Ham on deadline day of last summer’s transfer window, originally returned from December’s hamstring injury as a substitute in West Brom’s 2-2 draw with Charlton Athletic on the 11th of January.
However, Diangana suffered another setback when he was withdrawn from the pitch just four minutes into his first start since the 3-2 win over Birmingham in which he originally injured himself, leaving the pitch “clutching his hamstring” once again.
Stats-focused Twitter account @Between_TL recently shared a Diangana highlights video via a tweet, which got some Baggies fans excited about the 21-year-old’s return from injury.

Prior to his injury, Diangana, who Transfermarkt.co.uk value at £4.5 million, was an influential player for the Baggies this season. The 21-year-old attacker has made the third-highest number of Championship assists of any West Brom player this season, making five assists in his 21 Championship games this season.
Diangana has also earned an average rating of 7.15 for his 21 Championship appearances this season, according to WhoScored.com. This makes him the Baggies’ fourth-highest rated player this season. It may be fair to say that the 21-year-old attacker could provide a boost for the current Championship leaders upon his return from injury, should he get back to the level that he was performing at for West Brom earlier on in the season.
