Fans of Nottingham Forest have been reacting to Alex Mighten’s post on Twitter, in which the 17-year-old states his delight at making his league debut for the club.

Mighten, who graduated from Nottingham Forest’s youth team, played 19 minutes in the Reds’ 0-0 stalemate with QPR on Saturday.

The right-winger, who has three goals in six appearances for England U18s, stated on Twitter: “What a feeling making my league debut at the City Ground. Tough one to take but we keep fighting till the end.”

Forest fans took to social media in reaction to Mighten’s post, with many wishing the 17-year-old congratulations, while some even suggested that the youngster could provide the creativity that they believe Forest have been missing in their last few outings.

What do we think?

Forest have developed a very fruitful academy over the past few years, with the likes of Matty Cash, Joe Worrall, Tyler Walker and Ryan Yates all graduating from their youth sides, and all featuring for the first team this season.

With Alex Mighten adding to that list, it would appear that the future is bright for Nottingham Forest, regardless of whether they achieve promotion this season.
