Tottenham Hotspur’s board will reportedly give Harry Kane a say in who they potentially appoint as their new manager to replace Antonio Conte.
Following his fiery outburst in his latest press conference, Conte’s position and immediate future at the north London club has been under question recently, with reports suggesting he could be sacked.
As for Kane, with the striker set to enter the final year of his current contract with the Lilywhites in the summer, the Englishman has been linked with a move away from the club in recent weeks.
Despite that, it has been claimed that if Spurs end up looking to appoint a new manager in the near future, an aspect of the club’s search will concern their star striker,
According to a recent report from Football Insider, Kane will be in contact with the Spurs board over the potential new manager appointment and “will have a say on the identity of Conte’s long-term replacement as part of his contract talks.”
The report also adds that “Kane could be tempted to stay at Tottenham, but is demanding that a world-class manager is appointed in the summer.”
Bearing in mind how Kane has scored 271 goals in 425 appearances for Tottenham, it’s safe to say that keeping hold of the 29-year-old would be a top priority for the club and their hierarchy.

Therefore, this should give them extra incentive into securing a world-class manager that can not only be successful with the club but also convince the striker to pledge his future by potentially signing a new deal.
However, having appointed successful managers previously such as Jose Mourinho and Conte, an impressive track record doesn’t necessarily guarantee they can do it with Spurs.
This makes us feel that the Spurs board will have to make sure they get the right candidate that not only has top-level experience but that can produce results and move the team forward at the same time.
