Everton manager Frank Lampard has reportedly set his sights on making a potential transfer swoop for Michail Antonio.
Having joined West Ham United back in 2015, the striker has gone on to make 253 appearances for the Hammers across all competitions, scoring 66 goals and delivering 41 assists along the way.
Despite his longevity at the London Stadium, the 32-year-old could be on his way out this month and starting a new chapter at another top-flight side.
In a recent report for TalkSport, journalist Alex Crook had this to say regarding the situation surrounding Antonio.
“TalkSport understand the Hammers are open to offers for Antonio, 32, if they can sign a replacement.
“That has alerted Everton boss Frank Lampard, whose side are in desperate need of extra firepower after plummeting into the relegation places.
“Antonio, West Ham’s top scorer in the Premier League era, is believed to be open to the prospect of leaving the London Stadium as he has just 18 months left on his contract.”
With 25 appearances under his belt for the Hammers this season across all competitions, Antonio – who has been previously described as being a “magnificent nuisance” by journalist Liam Twomey – has only been able to score five goals, with just two coming in 18 league games.

Even though he hasn’t been a consistent goalscorer for his side this campaign, the striker has still shown his attacking qualities, as he has the highest percentage of shots on target at the club (35%).
However, the centre-forward has also shown how careless he can be in possession, as he has the lowest percentage of successful passes at West Ham (51.3%).
This makes us feel that if the Hammers, who are in a similar position to Everton in the league, are willing to get rid of Antonio this month, he may not be the one that helps get the Toffees out of the sticky situation they find themselves in.
