Journalist Lewis Cox says he didn’t spot Sean Dyche at the latest West Brom game despite rumours suggesting he was in attendance.

Former Burnley boss Dyche has been linked with the vacant hotseat, and amid the speculation, rumours surfaced suggesting the 51-year-old was at the Madejski Stadium for their victory at Reading – but Cox has dismissed those claims.
Speaking on the Express & Star YouTube channel following the win, Cox said: “The honest truth is ourselves in the press box – myself and the locals – we didn’t get that confirmed. We didn’t see him.
“We could see the director’s box, but not all of it, it has to be said. I think from where we were perched I think we could see the away director’s box, I’m not sure… I certainly couldn’t see him.
“I think if Sean Dyche was there, amid the sea of heads and faces I could see, I would have thought I’d have noticed him.”

While there doesn’t seem to be much evidence to back up Dyche actually being at the Madejski Stadium, fans will certainly have been encouraged by the performance on show by Albion.
The former Clarets boss boasts two promotions to his name, but the immediate task for the new manager will be steering the club away from danger.
They moved out of the relegation zone with their win over Reading, but whoever comes through the door at The Hawthorns will still have to make up an eight-point deficit to the play-off places.
