Harry Kane has hailed the Liverpool fans as the loudest crowd to play in front of in the Premier League amid recent links to a potential swoop from the Reds.

The England captain was speaking to a New York street journalist during his recent trip to America where he featured on The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon.

There are strong reports suggesting the 28-year-old is open to the idea of securing his future in north London with a new bumper deal with Antonio Conte leading the Lilywhites to Champions League football.

However, there has also been a suggestion (via Express) the Reds have held speculative talks over a potential swoop for the England captain amid the question marks over the future of Mohamed Salah and Sadio Mane.

It was only a few weeks ago when Kane last played at Anfield in the 1-1 draw which put a huge dent in the Reds’ title charge with Son Heung-min netting for the Lilywhites.

Journalist Adam Glyn asked Kane: “The hardest city to play in who has the craziest fans, what would you say?”

Kane replied: (0:14) “Maybe Liverpool, I reckon.”

TIF Thoughts on Kane’s comments…

It will certainly be what the Anfield faithful will want to hear as they pride themselves on providing a big atmosphere on matchday and it is apparent opposition players feel that.

However, in terms of Kane making a move to Anfield, we find this incredibly difficult to imagine with Liverpool not having any issues in front of goal.

There is speculation over the future of Mane and Salah for the long term but they have recently bolstered their squad with Luis Diaz so we do wonder whether they would look to make another big signing with Salah claiming he will stay for next season.

Fantastic. Now that the made up Man U links have ended let’s make up links to Liverpool. Bearing in mind Liverpool fans loathe him I’m sure they’ll be pleased that it will never happen
