Journalist Tom Barclay has claimed that it is unlikely Crystal Palace will be re-signing Aaron Wan-Bissaka this summer.
There have been reports stating that Manchester United have said Wan-Bissaka is free to leave the club in the summer if the club receive a suitable offer for him, and there were also previous claims earlier this year that Palace were keen on bringing him in on loan.
Wan-Bissaka featured sparingly for United last season, as he featured just 20 times in the Premier League and spent the rest of the season on the bench watching from the sidelines, as Diogo Dalot was given the nod at right-back ahead of him.
Despite Manchester United telling Wan-Bissaka that he can leave this summer, Barclay claimed to GiveMeSport that a move back to Palace is probably unlikely because of the size of his wages.
He said: “Palace, I think, for the size of his wages, it’s probably unlikely. I never rule anything out, but the noises I’m getting is that it’s probably unlikely. I’d be surprised with Palace.”

Wan-Bissaka was in fine form for Palace in the 2018/19 season, topping the club’s charts for tackles, interceptions and average rating in performances which arguably earned him the £50m move to United that following summer. But with him featuring just 20 times last season, he might be keen to make a move away from Old Trafford.
With Palace finishing 12th in the Premier League last season, Patrick Vieira may be expected to bring in some new talent through the door at Selhurst Park, and he might have gained the trust of the board after signings he made last summer such as Marc Guehi and Michael Olise went on to be successful.
However, Wan-Bissaka is reportedly on £90,000 per week, so it is unclear whether Palace would be willing to pay this for someone who did not feature regularly for his side last season, so we can see why Barclay is sceptical over a potential return to SE25.
