Some Celtic fans are loving how young Liam Burt has grabbed his maiden hat-trick for the club in their Reserves’ friendly clash against Stenhousemuir.
The Reserves’ side’s clash against the Scottish League Two side was also a comeback to action for Leigh Griffiths, who had sustained a hamstring injury early in the season and hasn’t featured since.
The result of the game was 6-0 and while Griffiths bagged a brace on his return, young Burt also scored a hat-trick of his own in the clash.
Some Celtic fans are gushing about the player’s performance and are applauding the 20-year-old for his hat-trick.
55′ – GOAL! Hat-trick for Burt! Church with the cutback and Burt tucks it beyond the keeper with a lovely first time shot.

Celtic had signed Burt from fierce rivals Rangers earlier this summer and had played for the Gers during his time in the other side of Glasgow.
At Rangers, Burt had played three first-team games and had also featured twice for the club’s Reserves side during his time there. He also spent loan deals at the likes of Alloa Athletic and also at Dumbarton.
At Alloa, he had played ten times for the club and for Dumbarton, the youngster had appeared 19 times in all competitions. He had scored once and had a tally of just as many assists during this time.
Since arriving from Rangers, Burt has played twice for the Celtic Reserves side and both of the appearances came in the side’s Challenge Cup games earlier this summer. Falkirk knocked them out of the competition after defeating them 7-6 on penalties.
Some Celtic fans are also desperate to see Griffiths come up with a hat-trick of his own soon.

Burt, though, is an attacking midfielder by trade and is capable of playing slightly deeper or on the right flank too.
What do we think?
Burt’s hat-trick in the friendly was an impressive one and it would force many Hoops fans into paying attention to how he is doing. Indeed, that is very good for a player who has acquired first-team experience in lower clubs and now just needs the platform to keep improving.
But with the first-team already occupied currently, he will have to wait for his chance. Another loan deal will help him get first-team football.
