According to reports from The Express this morning, Manchester United boss Louis van Gaal has hinted there is a deal in the pipeline to sign Barcelona star Pedro.
The three-time Champions League winner, five-time La Liga winner and former World Cup and European Championship winner is widely expected to leave the Nou Camp this summer after slumping behind Lionel Messi, Luis Suarez and Neymar in the pecking order last season.

Arsenal, Chelsea and Liverpool have all been mooted as potential suitors throughout the summer and Manchester City have also been linked over the last week, but Manchester United are widely viewed as the front-runners in the race to sign the Spain international.
And although Old Trafford boss Louis van Gaal remained tight-lipped when quizzed on the 27 year-old winger, he did hint that the club are interested in brokering a deal.
“You have to ask Pedro, not me,” said the Dutchman. “My answer is it’s a process, it’s a club, it’s a player, and we are there also.
“I don’t mention anything until he has signed. When he has signed I come to you and say ‘hey, Pedro is here’. That is still not the case. We shall wait and see.”
Pedro’s contract includes a £22million release clause and he’s believed to have already made a ‘verbal agreement‘ to join the Red Devils, but it appears the former Premier League champions are attempting to squeeze a better price out of Barcelona.
