According to reports from The Daily Star, Real Madrid’s transfer embargo will see the La Liga giants swoop for Tottenham Hotspur’s Harry Kane and Everton’s John Stones in the summer.
The Bernabeu outfit and local rivals Atletico were handed a two-window transfer ban by FIFA yesterday for breaching rules relating to the transfer of minors.
The Madrid duo are expected to appeal to the Court of Arbitration for Sport, which could see the ban suspended for the next seven or eight months – giving both clubs the chance to bolster their squads during the summer transfer window.

Whilst other sources have suggested Real Madrid will swoop for Chelsea’s Eden Hazard, Manchester City’s Sergio Aguero and Manchester United’s David De Gea, The Daily Star speculate the club will look to sign Tottenham Hotspur striker Harry Kane and Everton defender John Stones – claiming both are ‘high on Madrid’s shopping list’.
Spurs talisman Kane, who has bagged eleven goals in 21 Premier League outings this season, publicly distanced himself from rumours of a Real Madrid move earlier this month. 21-year-old Stones, meanwhile, has been attracting interest from Los Blancos, El Clasico rivals Barcelona, Chelsea and Manchester United this season.
