Leeds United transfer target Azzedine Ounahi is ‘keen’ on a move to the Premier League, according to journalist Dean Jones.
Leeds were said to have increased their offer for Ounahi at the beginning of the week, with the Whites keen on landing the Angers midfielder, and they are now believed to not be far off the asking price of around £26m, having tabled a bid worth £22m.
The problem that Jesse Marsch faces is that Napoli are growing in confidence that they can win the race for the Moroccan’s signature, while Ciro Venerato told Tg Sport that talks have been held with Aston Villa. (via TuttoNapoli)
While a move to Serie A leaders Napoli is no doubt an attractive proposition, Jones claims that the 22-year-old may instead prefer a move to England, telling GIVEMESPORT:
“The player is believed to be keen on the idea of coming to the Premier League, but we’ve got to bear in mind that there’s also interest here from Italy and the team in question is Napoli, who are absolutely flying at the top of Serie A. So that is tough competition for a team like Leeds.”
