Celtic fans have been reacting to footage of Vasilis Barkas that came out of their game against FC Midtjylland in the Champions League qualifiers.
The Ange Postecoglou era got off to a reasonable start, as they managed to grab a 1-1 draw with the Danish side at Celtic Park, as the home side took the lead through debutant Liel Abada.
The away side managed to claw their way back into the game in the second half after a free-kick from Brazilian Evander – an effort that has left a lot of people asking questions about Celtic’s Greek shot-stopper as he allowed the ball to go over his hands and into the net.
The footage was posted online by broadcaster Premier Sports, and there were a number of supporters who were quick to slam the Greek for his mistake:
“He never makes a save. Time to look for another ‘keeper.”
Should Celtic stick with Barkas?
Yes
No
With away goals having been taken away as of this season’s competition, it’s not a total disaster for Celtic, but it could still be something that ends up playing a critical part of proceedings as we head into the second leg next week.
