Sky Sports journalist Rob Dorsett has claimed that Leeds United winger Jack Harrison is reportedly being eyed for a move away from Elland Road – but he is thought to be keen on staying in West Yorkshire.

After spending three years on loan at Leeds from Manchester City, the Whites secured a permanent transfer deal for the winger back in the 2021 summer window.

Overall, the 26-year-old has made 185 senior appearances for Leeds across all competitions, scoring 29 goals and delivering 28 assists along the way.

With the Englishman set to enter the final year of his contract at Elland Road once the current season comes to an end, Harrison has found himself on the radar of another top-flight club.

Leeds United fans, who were these players sold to? Starting with an easy one: Alan Smith

In a recent Twitter post, Dorsett had this to say on the matter.

He said: “LCFC interested in Jack Harrison as they search for a winger. Leeds don’t want to sell, especially to a relegation rival and I’ve been told Harrison keen to agree new contract at Elland Road.”

This season has seen the winger feature in all but two of Leeds’ Premier League games, which proves how significant he is for Jesse Marsch, who would surely not want to see an important figure like Harrison leave the club halfway through the season.

Should Leeds offer Jack Harrison a new contract?

The Leeds boss has shared his admiration for the player in the past by claiming that he was one of the players that had adapted the best to what the American wants to do at the club.

Having delivered more assists (4) than any other Leeds player in the league this season, the attacker has the highest average of key passes per game (1.8) in the squad.

His overall performances have earned Harrison a season rating of 6.71/10 from WhoScored, making him the fourth-highest-rated player at the club, further highlighting his importance to the side.

Taking all of this into account, we feel that Leeds should not consider allowing Harrison to leave the club this month, especially to another top-flight side such as Leicester.

They also should look to provide what the player wants and offer him the chance to sign a new contract at Elland Road to further dismiss any chance of him leaving.
