Former professional footballer Carlton Palmer believes that Valerien Ismael is the right man for West Bromwich Albion.
Following their relegation from the Premier League last season, West Brom turned to former Barnsley manager Valerien Ismael to guide the club in the Championship this season.
Ismael was a huge success when he was with Barnsley as he guided the Tykes to the Championship play-offs but fell just short in the semi-final against Swansea City, losing 2-1 on aggregate.

Palmer believes that Ismael is the right man to lead West Brom, telling This is Futbol: “He wasn’t number one choice. He was well down the pecking order. I actually think he’s the right man for the job after the job he’s done at Barnsley.
“You can see the job he’s doing at West Brom, you can see that he can work with the bargain basement players and he’s still got some quality players in there.”
Ismael added to his West Brom squad this summer by bringing in his own players with, Kean Bryan, Jayson Molumby, Jordan Hugill, Matt Clarke, Alex Mowatt and Adam Reach all signing deals at the Hawthorns.
After assembling his squad, West Brom have got off to a fantastic start to the Championship campaign. From their first 10 games, they managed to accumulate 22 points.
