Former Leeds United star David Norris admits that the club may live to regret their failure to sign Conor Gallagher from Chelsea.
The club were linked with a potential summer swoop for the midfielder before he ended up joining Crystal Palace.
Reports claimed that Leeds were snubbed by the 21-year-old as he decided to join Palace instead.
Should CPFC try to sign Gallagher permanently?
Absolutely!
No
Since his arrival at Selhurst Park, Gallagher has made four appearances in the Premier League, scoring twice and laying on an assist. Both of his goals came in the 2-2 draw with West Ham United.
A former England U21 international, Gallagher has impressed with his directness and his willingness to push into the final third.
And Norris admits that Leeds could well regret their failure to bring the midfielder into Elland Road.
The ex-Whites star said: “He looks great. I like him a lot, from what I’ve seen of him. I like the way he plays, he looks a really good player. I think it might be the one that got away.”
Gallagher had struggled to push his way into the Chelsea side and failed to make a single first-team appearance at Stamford Bridge.
