Peterborough United Director of Football Barry Fry does not believe West Ham United will make any kind of move to sign Alexis Sanchez this summer, despite links with the former Arsenal star.
Alexis currently plays for Inter Milan and has just won Serie A under the management of Antonio Conte.
The 32-year-old made 30 appearances in Serie A in total, scoring seven goals and laying on seven assists.
Would you be happy if the Hammers signed Alexis Sanchez on loan in the next window?
Yes, would be a good signing
No, would be a disaster signing
A report in Spain from Estadio Deportivo has claimed that the Irons are interested in a swoop to bring Alexis back to England as they look to increase the depth behind Michail Antonio.
The Chile international enjoyed a fantastic career at Arsenal, making 166 appearances and scoring 80 goals, while also registering 45 assists.
His time at Manchester United, though, was far more mixed, as his 45 appearances yielded just five goals and nine assists.
He is valued at £6.75m by Transfermarkt and has a contract until 2023 but Fry simply cannot see any scenario in which he ends up in east London.
Speaking exclusively to This Is Futbol, he said: “Wow. Wow. No. No I can’t see that to be fair.”
