French football expert Adam White reckons that Divock Origi would be an excellent addition for Wolves.
According to The Athletic, the Belgian is one of many players that are surplus to requirements at Anfield, with Jurgen Klopp willing to move on the striker. Meanwhile, The Telegraph claims Wolves are one club interested in his signature.
Is Raphinha good enough to get into Liverpool's best XI?
Yes
No
Origi has been with Liverpool for six seasons, and whilst he’s never been first-choice under Klopp, the 26-year-old has scored some crucial goals, including a Merseyside derby winner and the clincher in the Champions League final against Tottenham
But last season was an extremely frustrating one for Origi, who played just 536 minutes across all competitions, and didn’t feature in the Premier League from March onwards.
Therefore, despite not being overly impressed with Origi’s spell with Lille prior to getting his move to Liverpool, White reckons that he could add something different for Wolves, who scored just 36 goals in the league last season and drew a blank at Leicester last Saturday.
White told This is Futbol:
“I do think he’d be a good signing for Wolves. In France I thought he was really, really average for Lille and he was starting every game, but didn’t score many goals, he wasted chances.
“I was surprised that he’s progressed as he has. His finishing has improved massively, and therefore, I think he would be a worthwhile signing for Wolves.”
