McNamara, 46, had been at Parkhead for ten years. He joined the club in 1995 and left Celtic in 2005 to join Wolves. As per Transfermarkt, McNamara had joined Celtic from Dunfermline in 1995 for a fee of £810k.
During his time at the club, McNamara won four Scottish Premiership titles. He also won three Scottish Cups and laid hands on three League Cups as well.
What do we think?
It is certainly good news for anyone associated with Celtic. McNamara’s stature as a player at Parkhead is special and having him on the journey back to good health will come as a huge positive for everyone.
