Some Celtic fans have made it very clear that they do not want to see veteran Brighton striker Glenn Murray anywhere near Parkhead in the ongoing January transfer window.
The Hoops have been linked with a move for Murray, with reports from the Daily Mail (via the Sun) stating that Nottingham Forest also interested in the 36-year-old frontman this January. The same report has also linked the Bhoys with a move for Sheffield United striker Billy Sharp.
The reports also state that the club would still pursue Andraz Sporar, even if Murray ends up joining the club this month.
Celtic fans: Do you want Murray at Parkhead?
Get him, he's quality!
Is this a joke?
The club’s chase of the former Crystal Palace man hasn’t left too many fans pleased. They are against the idea of signing Murray.
This better be a joke

So far this season, Murray hasn’t been used too much by Brighton manager Graham Potter. The Englishman has been behind the likes of Neal Maupay and young Aaron Connolly in the club’s pecking order this season.
He has made 14 Premier League appearances so far, scoring once. That goal came in the League Cup clash against Bristol Rovers. He has played only 486 minutes of first-team football so far in all competitions.
This situation is in stark contrast to Murray’s form last season. He played 42 games in all competitions for the Seagulls, finding the back of the net a total of 15 times, while also grabbing as assist. In the Premier League, he scored a total of 13 goals.
What do we think?
Murray brings loads of experience to the plate. More than that, he has been a proven goalscorer for many years in the top division of England. The reason why he isn’t playing for Brighton this season is because Potter prefers a technical brand of football and Murray isn’t a technical player. But since Celtic need second-choice short-term striker, Murray fits right in.
