Many Celtic fans have been fuming at a news update regarding Peter Lawwell that emerged on social media.
Celtic CEO Lawwell was recently involved in a meeting with the club’s supporters’ organisations and this was a follow-up meeting from another one that took place in June 2020. In the meeting, Lawwell made it clear that the club hasn’t drawn up any plans to meet supporter value and the trust has made it clear that this left the supporter organisations ‘disappointed’.

The Celtic Trust have stated that the meeting went on for 90 minutes, but little headway was made into the issues under discussion. Lawwell also refused to discuss Celtic Trust’s share proposal in the club and he also stated that there will be no offer made to Season Ticket holders for the season about to end.

Protests have been held against the club’s board and Lawwell this season, suggestive of the fact that anger against the CEO isn’t a new thing.
But Lawwell is set to leave in the summer and Dominic McKay has arrived at the club already. So perhaps, under a new CEO, things may change for the Hoops.
