According to reports from The Daily Express this morning, Arsenal have entered the race to sign Juventus star Paul Pogba.
The France international failed to make the first team grade during his three years at Manchester United. But since swapping Old Trafford for the Old Lady on a free transfer in summer 2012, he’s emerged as one of the top midfielders in world football, boasting an eclectic mix of imperious physicality, technical trickery and netting prowess.
After claiming a third consecutive Serie A title in Turin, the 22 year-old is widely expected to move on this summer.
It’s believed Pogba has already held negotiations with PSG and rejected a £210k per-week contract – as This Is Futbol revealed last week – whilst Manchester City are alleged to have raised the stakes with a £250k per-week offer – as This Futbol reported on Monday.
But according to reports this morning, Arsenal have also entered the race for the Juve talisman’s signature, with Arsene Wenger allegedly a big fan.
He’s hardly Pogba’s only admirer; along with City, The Gunners and PSG, The Express claim Chelsea, Manchester United, Real Madrid and Barcelona all want to get their hands on the in-demand Frenchman.
