According to reports from Calcio Mercato, Chelsea and West Ham are both targeting Genoa’s highly-rated youngster Rolando Mandragora.
The 18-year-old made his debut for Il Grifone during a 1-0 victory over Juventus last season and is spending the current campaign on loan with Pescara in Serie B. The midfielder has impressed during his twelve appearances thus far and is also a regular fixture for Italy at youth level, picking up 21 caps from the U17 to U21 age groups.
And according to Calcio Mercato, Mandragora has already earned himself a considerable list of potential suitors. Alongside Serie A outfits AC Milan, Inter Milan, Juventus and Roma, Premier League duo Chelsea and West Ham have taken an interest in the highly-rated teenager.
Currently, however, Inter are leading the race to sign Mandragora. Sporting director Piero Ausilio is keen to agree a deal within the next few weeks that will see the 6-foot centre-mid move to the San Siro next summer. It’s believed Genoa value him at around €10million.
