According to reports from The Express, Manchester City manager Manuel Pellegrini has revealed he will not look to add to his squad during the January transfer window.
The Sheik-owned Etihad outfit certainly aren’t short of cash and rumours over the last few weeks have suggested the club could look to add to their forward line in January, following lengthy injury spells for strikers Sergio Aguero and Wilfried Bony.
They’ve recently been linked with Inter Milan frontman Mauro Icardi, who finished up as Serie A’s top scorer last season with 22 goals, and have reportedly seen a bid rejected for Bologna midfield prodigy Amadou Diawara.

But in today’s pre-match press conference ahead of the Citizens’ Premier League clash with managerless Swansea City on Saturday, kick-off at 3pm, Pellegrini revealed that he won’t look to strengthen City’s strikeforce when the transfer window reopens next month – or his squad in general.
As quoted by The Express, the Chilean told reporters; “Am I looking to sign new players in January? No, for the moment, nothing changes. Why? Because we have a squad that we think is the best squad for what we require. I don’t think we need to make changes so we continue the same way with Wilfried, with Kun [Aguero], with [Raheem] Sterling and with Kelechi.”
Although man city has many players they still need John stones and sell mangala or demecheles
and still need a striker like icardi in case aguero is injured
We’re not selling Mangala – what a ridiculous comment. Kompany will be sold and Demichelis will return to Argentina; Denayer will slot in with Otamendi and Mangala.
my opinion is we have to singh anather striker for virous circumstances.if our striker wil take more time while in injure
we need to sell mangala and Wilfried, they are waste of money,we need players like icardi and a nice midfielder like banega of Sevilla, don’t ever say we don’t need to sign any player in fact SACK MANUEL AND BRING IN PEP
