Many Leeds United supporters have flocked to social media in the aftermath of the Premier League defeat to West Ham United to discuss the issues with their side on the night.
Despite taking the lead through Mateusz Klich’s spot-kick, Tomas Soucek and Angelo Ogbonna’s goals ensured that it was the Hammers who took all three points (as per BBC Sport), condemning Marcelo Bielsa’s Whites to their sixth league defeat of the season.
Both of the visitors’ goals came from set-pieces and it prompted these fans to discuss what they believe to be a real problem for their team at the moment. After the match, the BBC’s Adam Pope shared some quotes from Klich and in the replies, this group of Leeds supporters made their feelings known.
How did these Leeds supporters react to their latest Premier League defeat?
Set pieces from corners and near the box are a problem for sure.
The best way to combat this is not to learn to defend them better (although this is still important) but to give as few away as possible.
Both corner and free kick from which they scored were totally avoidable.

Maybe we could try…. Um I dunno actually defending set pieces properly? I mean I’m no expert but seems like the logical thing to do no?

At the moment anyone is dangerous against us at set pieces!!

It’s blatantly obvious to anyone bar bielsa it seems ????

Is Bielsa to blame for the team's poor defending?
Yes
No
If we have to score 2 every game to get a point, where in serious trouble and this season turns into a real relegation fight.

I am afraid some of the players are out of their depth

It’s clear from the above responses that these Leeds fans are concerned by their inability to defend set-pieces effectively. Following Friday’s game, only West Bromwich Albion, who currently sit in the relegation zone, had conceded more goals than Leeds United so far this season and so in our view, it is understandable why one supporter described some of the current group as ‘out of their depth’ in the Premier League and others are beginning to feel concerned.
