Tottenham Hotspur fans have been reacting to a tweet from Alasdair Gold on midfielder Tanguy Ndombele.
The 24-year-old was pretty much a regular in the Tottenham Hotspur side last season, scoring six goals and contributing four assists across his 46 appearances and proved to be an integral part of the team’s attack, as he led them in both dribbles and times fouled per game at 2.2 and 1.8 respectively, as well as ranking third in terms of pass completion at 85.6%.
But things haven’t always gone right for him in north London. The Frenchman revealed earlier this year that he wanted to leave the club before being convinced otherwise by Spurs chairman Daniel Levy, and clearly it was the right decision given his impact on the team last campaign.
Ndombele had been absent from the club’s preparations from the new season, having recently become a father for the first time. Meanwhile, he also has been linked with a move away.
And it seems as though his return to training has plenty of fans hoping for a repeat of the previous campaign.
When journalist Alasdair Gold posted a photo of him at the club’s training ground, there were a number of fans who were delighted to see him.
Should Spurs cash in on Ndombele this summer?
Yes
No
Let’s see whether or not playing under a new manager in Nuno Espirito Santo will maintain or elevate his current standing in the squad, as well as his apparent popularity within the fanbase.
