Leeds United fans have been reacting to a video interview from the official Leeds Twitter account showing Luke Ayling expressing his delight at playing for the club.
The Yorkshire side are currently 11th in the Premier League table and are just two points behind giants Arsenal in 10th place.
Ayling has been an integral part of the Leeds project which saw them achieve promotion to the top flight last season, having joined United from Bristol City in 2016 for just £750k.
The 29-year-old has been a regular in the starting XI under Marcelo Bielsa, making 26 appearances for the Argentine manager and racking up over 2,300 minutes in the league alone this season.
Ayling, who is valued at £3.15 million (as per Transfermarkt), still has another two years on his contract with the Yorkshire side and the Leeds fans have shown their appreciation for the defender’s consistent level of performances this season after the footage was shared online:
“Leeds legend already I don’t even care, Southgate get him on the plane, criminally underrated.”
Should Leeds extend Luke Ayling's contract?
Yes
No
The United fans have a clear love for Ayling, who has been at the club throughout their fight to gain promotion and it is apparent some had doubts about the right-back going into the season, however, it seems he has firmly silenced those.
