Everton supporters have buzzed over the club’s choice for their Goal of the Month strike.
The goal selected by the club was Gylfi Sigurdsson’s wonder strike late on in the 2-0 victory over West Ham at Goodison Park (per Everton).
The audacious effort saw the Icelandic international receive the ball 25 yards from goal, before fainting past Jack Wilshere and firing an unstoppable shot into the top left corner (via BBC).
With supporters reliving the moment which secured three points in the clash against the Hammers all over again, they spewed into the comments section to air their thoughts.
Wilshere’s reaction as the ball caresses the net is a delight to see. A truly wonderful strike.

The goal was the Icelandic’s only of the season so far in the Premier League, registering one further assist for his direct goal involvements in 12 outings (via Transfermarkt).
However, despite his weak goals return, supporters could not get enough of the Toffees’ October Goal of the Month.
What a finish! COYB

What do we think?
The goal is an absolutely spectacular strike and fully deserving of the praise that it has since received.
However, the 30-year-old will need to start contributing more on the goal involvements front if he is to retain his spot in Marco Silva’s matchday squads.
