According to reports from TuttoSport yesterday evening, summarised in English by The Express, star striker Zlatan Ibrahimovic has held crisis talks with his agent and PSG president Nasser Al-Khelaifi in Doha.
The iconic Swede boasts 106 goals in 126 appearances for the Parc de Princes outfit, including a return of 30 goals in 35 outings this season, firing them to three consecutive Ligue 1 titles.
But Ibrahimovic’s PSG tenure could be coming to an abrupt end this summer. As This Is Futbol revealed last week, the French champions don’t intend to extend the 33 year-old’s contract past the end of next season, at which point they’ll target three-time Ballon d’Or winner Cristiano Ronaldo as his replacement.
That revelation could pave the way for a departure before the start of next season with Zlatan reportedly reconsidering his options – a situation which his alleged crisis talks suggest is becoming increasingly likely. Last night, a snapshot of the 6 foot 5 front-man, agent Mino Raiola and PSG president Nasser Al-Khelaifi was taken in Doha.
As This Is Futbol revealed last week, Premier League duo Liverpool and Manchester United, who are both expected to reshuffle their strike-forces this summer, are considering summer bids for the for the 2013 Puskas award winner.
