According to reports from The Liverpool Echo this morning, Everton are targeting two Manchester United players ahead of the summer transfer window.
The first is prodigious winger Adnan Januzaj – as This Is Futbol revealed earlier this week. The Belgium international exploded onto the Premier League scene last season with a stunning brace against Sunderland, soon heralding a five-year contract and a nomination for the BBC Sport Young Personality of the Year award.
But he’s yet to record any output from 17 Premier League outings this term – seven starts and ten substitute appearances – and Louis van Gaal has grown concerned with the 20 year-old’s stuttering development. Resultantly, he’s been linked with a loan move to Goodison Park next season, as reported by The Express.
The second is experienced centre-back Jonny Evans. He’s claimed three Premier League titles and two Capital One Cups with the Red Devils but has struggled for impact since van Gaal’s arrival last summer, this term managing just eleven appearances in all competitions.
According to The Liverpool Echo, United are ready to sell for £10million. It follows news defenders Sylvain Distin and Antolin Alcaraz are both expected to leave The Toffees upon the expiration of their contracts this summer – as This Is Futbol reported last month.
