According to reports from Goal this morning, Aston Villa have completed the signing of Barcelona youngster Adama Traore, as confirmed by both clubs.
The 19 year-old is widely regarded as one of La Masia’s most exciting products in recent years and made some headway with the Barcelona first team last season, finding one goal in two Copa del Rey outings.

But Traore’s predominant employers – Barcelona B – were relegated from the Spanish second division at the end of last term, which has seen a number of the club’s youngsters seek moves away.
The Spain U21 was linked with Liverpool and Manchester United earlier this month – as well as Everton in July – with some reports even claiming he’d flown in for an Anfield medical.
But according to Goal, he’s now signed for Aston Villa on a five-year contract, in a deal worth €10million plus a further €2million in potential add-ons.
However, Barcelona have the right to buy back Traore for an arranged fee at any point over the next three years. Click here to view the rest of the Premier League’s confirmed summer deals.
