According to reports from The Telegraph, Manchester United are ready to rival Chelsea in the race to sign AC Milan striker Carlos Bacca.
The Colombian international joined the San Siro ranks from Sevilla only last summer in a £22million deal but his impressive form since, bagging eight goals and one assist in 17 Serie A starts, saw Chelsea linked with a £30million bid last week.

Interim manager Guus Hiddink is keen to add firepower to his Blues squad this month with the 29-year-old, Leicester City’s Jamie Vardy and Atletico Madrid’s Jackson Martinez all reportedly on the hit list of technical director Michael Emenalo.
But according to The Telegraph, rivalled interest from Manchester United could complicate matters for the west Londoners. Louis van Gaal is also on the look out for strike additions this month and news of Bacca’s potential availability has seen the Red Devils join the race for his signature.
The stocky striker boasts an impressive career return of 196 goals in 379 appearances, spanning spells in South America, Belgium, La Liga and Serie A. But most importantly for Chelsea and United in the context of this season, he’s not cup-tied in the Europa League or the Champions League.
