According to reports from The Telegraph, defensive prodigy Ben Chilwell is set to be handed a new contract by Leicester City amid interest from Arsenal, Tottenham Hotspur and Liverpool.

The teenage left-back has made just two senior appearances for the Foxes – including an FA Cup outing against Tottenham Hotspur on Sunday – but is widely regarded as one of the most exciting prospects English football has to offer.

Arsenal have been courting the 19-year-old for some time and saw a £3.5million bid rejected by Leicester last summer, whilst north London rivals Tottenham Hotspur are also keen on the England U20 and Liverpool are reportedly considering a £4million January bid.

But Leicester City are determined to hold onto Chilwell and according to The Telegraph, are now set to hand him a new contract after it emerged he’s currently earning just £800 per-week.

The youngster, whose current deal expires in summer 2017, is expected to be included in Claudio Ranieri’s match day squad for Leicester’s Premier League clash with Spurs on Wednesday night.
