According to The Express, Real Madrid have rejected Liverpool’s loan bid for Martin Odegaard; whilst The Daily Mail report that Bournemouth want to sign Manchester City’s Patrick Roberts on loan.
Highly-rated Odegaard joined the Bernabeu ranks in January 2015 and is widely regarded as one of the most exciting prospects in world football. The 17-year-old made his Real Madrid debut on the final day of last season but has spent the current campaign exclusively with Real Madrid’s second string, Castilla, registering 16 league outings.

According to The Express, who cite Spanish publication Marca, Liverpool had requested to take the attacking midfielder on loan for the rest of the season with the incentive of vital experience in the Premier League. But Los Blancos have rejected the offer, preferring Odegaard to continue his development in the Spanish capital.
Meanwhile, The Daily Mail report that relegation battlers Bournemouth are hoping to sign Manchester City’s Patrick Roberts on loan this month. The 18-year-old moved to the Etihad in a £12million deal from Fulham last summer and his highly-rated within the England fold, bagging five goals in twelve outings for the U19 squad.
He’s made just three appearances for Manuel Pellegrini’s side this term and featured only once in the Premier League – a four-minute substitute outing against Tottenham Hotspur – and Bournemouth are resultantly hoping the winger will be allowed to go out on loan. Manager Eddie Howe is also considering a swoop for QPR’s Matt Phillips.
