According to an exclusive from Calcio Mercato, Chelsea are preparing a €40million bid for AC Milan striker and Manchester United target Carlos Bacca.
Bacca joined the San Siro ranks from Sevilla only last summer after firing Unai Emery’s side to consecutive Europa League titles, but the 29-year-old’s impressive form since has seen him linked with a move to the Premier League in recent weeks.
Indeed, the Colombian international has netted ten times in 22 outings this term – including eight goals in Serie A – and wowed spectators yesterday evening with a ‘Rabona’-style finish as Rossoneri claimed a 2-1 win in the quarter-finals of the Coppa Italia.

Manchester United were linked with Bacca earlier this week amid their search for added firepower. They’ve scored the fewest goals of any side in the Premier League’s top six this season, with strike-force Wayne Rooney and Anthony Martial netting just ten league goals between them.
But according to Calcio Mercato, it’s Premier League rivals Chelsea who are now preparing a €40million bid for the South American. Similar claims were made by the Spanish media last week.
The Italian outlet, however, believe AC Milan are likely to reject any bids for their top goalscorer – with fellow forward Luiz Adriano expected to leave the club this month.
