According to reports from The Daily Mail, Chelsea strike target Alexandre Pato ‘continues to interest’ Premier League rivals Manchester United.
The former AC Milan striker, who netted 51 times in 117 Serie A appearances before having his San Siro career ruptured by injury, is keen to return to European football this month after three years in Brazil with Corinthians and Sao Paolo. He netted 26 times for the latter club in 2015.
Reports yesterday revealed that Premier League champions Chelsea have held talks with the 26-year-old regarding a January move to Stamford Bridge, viewing the £10million-rated front-man as a cheaper alternative to fellow strike targets Carlos Bacca and Jamie Vardy.

But according to The Daily Mail, Pato is continuing to interest league rivals Manchester United as well, who are also on the lookout for added firepower this month.
The Red Devils have scored the fewest goals of any side in the Premier League’s top six this season, with strikeforce Wayne Rooney and Anthony Martial netting just ten times between them.
Resultantly, we could see Louis van Gaal’s side attempt to muscle in on negotiations between the Brazil international and the west Londoners over the next few weeks.
