According to reports from The Sun, Everton are hoping a £65million price tag will nullify interest in talismanic striker Romelu Lukaku during the summer transfer window.
The Belgium international has been in scintillating scoring form this season, netting 19 times across all competitions. That includes a run of eleven goals in his last 14 appearances and 15 Premier League strikes to secure top spot in the division’s scoring charts alongside Leicester City record-breaker Jamie Vardy.

Resultantly, the 22-year-old looks set to become one of the summer transfer window’s hottest properties – especially if he performs to the levels expected for his country at the 2016 European Championship in France.
Manchester United have been consistently linked with a summer swoop for the 6 foot 3 frontman over the last few weeks, whilst The Sun document interest from Manchester City and former employers Chelsea as well – alongside Champions League giants PSG and Real Madrid.
But according to the British tabloid, Everton are hoping their £65million valuation of Lukaku will see them fend off interest from the aforementioned clubs next summer. The Toffees refused to let John Stones leave for Chelsea at the start of the season and will exert a similar stance regarding the Belgian beast, who is still under contract at Goodison Park until 2019.
