Former Premier League striker Gabriel Agbonlahor believes that Tottenham Hotspur ace Dejan Kulusevski has been massively undervalued by his parent club.
The pundit, often seen on talkSPORT, believes that Spurs have a great chance of pulling off a terrific deal and is sure the club will get the transfer over the line.
Kulusevski has caught the eye ever since arriving in north London last January on an initial 18-month loan.
As confirmed by Italian journalist Fabrizio Romano the Lilywhites will have an obligation to buy the 22-year-old should he make 20 appearances and the club finish in the top four for £30 (€35m) or indeed the option to land the Swede for the same fee.
Speaking to Football Insider Agbonlahor said: “For Kuluesevski to sign for £30m on a permanent deal is one of the best pieces of business in the last few years.
“He’s a young, quality player and I feel Juventus have undervalued him.
“That’s a great deal for Spurs, they need to get that over the line and get him signed permanently because he is the difference in that Spurs side.
“When he’s not playing Harry Kane has less service and when he plays he gets into positions and makes things happen. He’s got a wand of a left foot.
“I’m sure Spurs will try and get that move done as soon as possible.”
TIF Thoughts on Agbonlahor’s comments…
Should Dejan Kulusevski start every game for Spurs like Harry Kane?
Yes
No
Since joining at the start of the year the 27-cap Sweden international has been involved in 19 goals in 32 appearances.
He has averaged a goal or an assist every 108 minutes since first donning the Tottenham jersey and only Ivan Perisic (7) has set up more for the club this season than his tally of five.
The Juve-owned gem made his long-awaited return to action against Liverpool at the start of the month and made an immediate impact off the bench producing an assist for Harry Kane.
As Agbonlahor pointed out he has proved to be that foil for the England captain in the final third and at £30m he will be a very shrewd addition given how he has adapted.
