Some Celtic fans have been talking about the club’s links with a move to sign Bournemouth winger Jordon Ibe.
Bournemouth boss Eddie Howe was recently talking to the Sun. He also talked about the future of Ibe at the Vitality Stadium. He revealed that the club isn’t handing the former Liverpool player a new contract. The Cherries boss said that while he doesn’t have regrets about signing Ibe, he is sad that it ‘didn’t quite happen’ for the player at Bournemouth.
The report went onto mention Celtic’s interest in signing Ibe. A report from the BournemouthEcho also relayed interest from the Hoops.
A Celtic-related page called CelticBible relayed this report from the BournemouthEcho and asked fans about whether they’d take Ibe at Parkhead. A couple of Celtic fans flocked to this and said they’d like to see the club sign Ibe.
Should Celtic sign Jordon Ibe?
I'd like that
Stay away from him
Free agent? Why not?

Would be a great addition..

Ibe has been at Bournemouth since the summer of 2016, when he had arrived from Liverpool. But since then, the Englishman has contributed to only 14 goals in 92 appearances in all competitions for the Cherries. This season, he has made only four appearances in all competitions (via Transfermarkt).
Many Celtic fans feel that he doesn’t score enough, while others talked about his wage demands.
Don’t think Celtic will entertain his wages, if he lowered his sight could be worth it maybe could work his way in the team if mo doesn’t stay, but then again why is Bournemouth not interested in him is the question, don’t want any bad apples.

3 goals in 78 appearances for Bournemouth since 2016. 16 goals in nearly 200 games this far in his career. Will demand high wages. Too big a risk imo, would rather see K. Dembele and M. Johnston playing.

No. Seems to have a toxic attitude. Don’t need that.

Not for the wage he’s on, off field issues and attitude is a problem, not the type of distraction needed for the season ahead.

Some fans even point to some of Ibe’s disciplinary issues. Recently, he had breached lockdown rules to get a haircut done. Before that, he was fined for crashing his car into a coffee shop.
This shows that apart from having a low goals output, Ibe also has disciplinary issues to deal with. In that sense, staying away from signing him might be a good idea for Celtic.
