Some Southampton fans have been left to debate about Adam Blackmore’s latest tweet that concerns Tottenham target Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg’s situation.
Blackmore, who is the Sports Editor at Sports Solent, tweeted that Hojbjerg hasn’t been offered a new contract yet and says that no Saints players will be offered a new deal until Southampton go past the 36-point tally in the Premier League.
Should Southampton sell Hojbjerg in the summer?
Yes, he's not good enough
No, he's a useful player
When Blackmore tweeted this out, many Saints fans were left talking. Some of them were fuming at the midfielder and the others were talking about his situation in general.
I’d be happy to let PEH go, I think hes been disappointing.

PEH has not improved one bit over the last season, in fact he makes more mistakes, is very hesitant on the ball, makes very few forward passes, makes even less runs with the ball … so maybe he needs to prove he is worthy of a new contract !!

Plenty of better players than him around – no loss

Surely not angling for a move. No way he’s good enough for bigger than us, got the heart and work rate but really poor footballer from a technical perspective. Needs a good 5 yards in front of him to get it under control.

It really should be 40pts. 36pts will take us down I suspect…

Wonder what happens if we get relegated on 36 points

Can’t see any bigger English club being interested so he’d have to go abroad or move to a club the same level. Is he old enough for West Ham yet?

Football Insider had reported recently that the former Bayern Munich man had knocked back a contract offer from the Saints recently. The same report went onto say that the midfielder is looking to move to a bigger club, with Tottenham Hotspur interested in him.
What do we think?
The Denmark man’s current deal at St. Mary’s runs out in the summer of 2021. Next season would see him enter the last year of his deal and that will not do the club too much good, as his value will decrease. If they sell him in the summer, they can still recover the £12.8 million that they shelled out on him in 2016.
