Bayern Munich CEO Oliver Kahn has ruled out a move to bring Cristiano Ronaldo to Bavaria.
Ronaldo is currently a free agent after leaving Manchester United following a controversial interview which led them to cut their ties.
Interest and rumours are obviously rife when a star like the Portuguese becomes available, but Kahn has distanced Bayern from making a move for the 37-year-old after the club held internal discussions about the player.
The Bundesliga giants decided Ronaldo didn’t fit their philosophy which their CEO explained.
Speaking to Sky Sport Germany, he said (via Daily Mail): “We have already dealt with this.
“We have a clear idea, a clear philosophy of how our squad should be put together. we all appreciate him, there’s no discussion.
“We all love Cristiano Ronaldo, but that’s something that doesn’t fit into our idea.”

We don’t believe the idea of Ronaldo fitting in at Bayern is one that many could’ve pictured, so it’s no surprise that Kahn has admitted the club won’t be looking to bring him in.
He clearly still possesses that killer edge in front of goal, with the Portuguese bagging 24 goals in the Premier League and Champions League for a struggling United side last season.
Unfortunately, time hasn’t been kind to the five-time Ballon d’Or winner, who has seen the twilight of his career occur when fast-paced and pressing football is becoming king, especially in Germany.
And given his potential wage demands (presumably close to his previous £480k-per-week salary), this would surely be enough to put Bayern off alone, with highest earner Sadio Mane thought to be on a significantly lower £306k-per-week deal.
