Celtic will play Hearts in the Scottish Cup Final on Saturday and midfielder Scott Sinclair believes the squad is brimming with confidence.
Celtic defeated Hearts 2-1 in the final Scottish Premiership game of the season last Sunday and the pair will meet again to battle it out for the Scottish Cup.
Sinclair, who has made 54 appearances in all competitions this season, has said that Celtic will require one last push. The 30-year-old has also stated that despite being confident, they have pressure on their shoulders going into the game.
“By winning games and trophies, it gives you confidence. This team is full of confidence, and we’re always fighting for places,” Sinclair told the official Celtic website.
“It’s a great time to be part of the club, but we need to make sure we get the job done. There’s always going to be criticism, but if it was that easy, a team would have done it before. No one has done it, so it goes to show that it’s tough.
“With the game this weekend, it’s just about that one last push. It’s going to be a tough game, but I’m sure it’ll be a great game. I don’t think it’ll settle in with any of the players until years to come. First of all, we’ve still to get the job done. For us, going into this last game, there’s a lot of pressure on us, but hopefully we’ll be lifting the trophy.”

Celtic will be going into the game coming off the back of beating their opponents 2-1 in the last game of the Premiership season. Despite numerous regulars being rested during that game, it will surely give the Bhoys a mental edge going into the cup final. The game is a chance for Neil Lennon to really put himself in contention to land the job on a full-time basis and he will desperate for his team to claim the silverware. A defeat could well scupper his chances of taking on the job as a permanent manager. We expect Sinclair to play a part in the game and his 17 goals this season have helped the Hoops go on to achieve what they have this campaign. Hearts have beaten Celtic just once out of the five times the pair have met this season but anything can happen in a game of this magnitude – Celtic must be at their best if they are to be triumphant on Saturday.
