Chelsea fans have expressed their frustrations on Twitter with Callum Hudson-Odoi’s performance in their 1-0 victory over Ajax.
A journalist who covers Chelsea content, Simon Phillips, tweeted how striker Tammy Abraham was getting annoyed with the young winger after he failed to find an accurate pass to his team-mate. Phillips then went on to agree with Abraham, saying Hudson-Odoi needs to “start picking out the right pass”.
And, many Chelsea fans agreed with Phillips’ observation of the 18-year-old.
Here’s a sample of Chelsea fans not happy with Hudson-Odoi:
Cho is not doing good tonite, Abraham no service too.

He needs to keep making the runs, finding the yard, which he isn’t always doing

Callum’s end product has been poor tonight.

The winger was substituted in the dying embers of the match after Chelsea had taken the lead through Michy Batshuayi. Interestingly, the Chelsea man also received criticism from fans away from Phillips’ tweet, which can be seen down below:
Im yet to see anything special from callum hudson odoi, no x factor nada but hey he’s one of our own right?

At this level, when you get the amount of time and space ,and chances , Callum Hudson Odoi got, you need to at least hit the target, if not score
Hudson odoi as talented as he is, looks very casual and irresponsible when in possession. Really needs to work on that #AJACHE#ajax— Gaurav (@iamgaurav98) October 23, 2019
Hudson Odoi should be off at HT. Extremely poor, terrible decision making, awful finishing

What do we think?
Hudson-Odoi is a clearly a player who has plenty of potential, with former Chelsea goalkeeper Rob Green even stating that the young winger could perhaps follow in Eden Hazard’s footsteps at Stamford Bridge (as per BBC 5 Live). Frank Lampard seemingly has enough faith in the teenager to start him away at Ajax, a team who made it to the semi-finals of the Champions League last year. But that being said, if Lampard continues to use the winger regularly, then he must put the effort in and produce consistent performances.
