Chelsea fans have taken to Twitter to share their love for Mason Mount.
This array of appreciation comes after Chelsea journalist Alex Goldberg posted a tweet in which he praised the Englishman’s versatility on the pitch.
This tweet was met with a lot of Chelsea fans agreeing with Goldberg about how much of a key player Mount has been for manager Frank Lampard so far this season.
Here’s a sample of Chelsea fans appreciating Mount:

The 20-year-old has made an impressive start to life under Chelsea boss Frank Lampard so far this season. In 10 appearances in all competitions, the midfielder has picked up four goals and two assists (per Transfermarkt).
Interestingly, some Chelsea fans think Mount will go on to have a big future at the West-London club.
Mount represents Lampard on the pitch and im sure lamps sees himself in Mount.

Nobody else would be trusted as much as he has been through a stretch of average matches.

What do we think?
Mason Mount has already proved himself to be a significant figure in Chelsea’s opening to the season, ranking joint-third overall for rating per game in the top-flight (7.22, via WhoScored). While there’s no doubting his ability, the question on a lot of Chelsea fans’ minds would be if Mount will keep his place in the team when Ruben Loftus-Cheek returns from injury. It’s a hard decision that Lampard will have to make sooner rather than later.
