According to reports from The Independent, Tottenham Hotspur are preparing a new bid for James Maddison after missing out on the Coventry midfielder during the summer.
The 19-year-old has made just 29 first team appearances since his debut at the start of last season but has already established himself as one of the most exciting home-grown prospects in the Football League.
The technically-gifted playmaker first drew attention last term as he netted twice in twelve League One outings, leading to an alleged failed summer bid from the Lilywhites, and is attracting interest from White Hart Lane and yonder once again.

Indeed, The Independent report that Spurs are preparing a fresh offer for Maddison and are determined to land the teenager after missing out on his services during the summer. But they’re by no means alone in the race to sign the 5 foot 9 midfielder, who has claimed two goals in just seven league starts this term.
The British newspaper document rivaled interest from Everton, Liverpool, Manchester City, Newcastle United and Southampton as well – whilst Arsenal and the Reds were both reported to be ‘leading the race’ for his signature at the end of December.
It’s believed any accepted bid from Spurs this month will see Maddison remain on loan at the Ricoh Arena until the end of the season.
